STEP 1
Brown mince
STEP 2
Add group one non veg ingredients and cook for 2 mins
STEP 3
Add group 1 veg ingredients then sweat with lid on for few minutes
STEP 4
Add group 2 ingredients and bring to boil
STEP 5
Reduce to simmer, cover and cook as long as possible - ideal is 3-4 hours but at least 2, stirring regularly. Add some more liquid if needed
STEP 6
When done turn off heat and stir in group 3 ingredients and season to taste. I sometimes add in a little extra Worcester sauce or tomato purée, or sweet chilli sauce is good
STEP 7
Portion up and freeze - a takeaway sized tub should do dinner for four of you and you should get 6 easily. Freeze and then reheat with pasta for healthy ready meals. Can add some chilli seasoning and kidney beans too if want to make chilli
